What does on-call mean at Shift?

On-call means a licensed Utah clinician is reachable outside of their posted availability. When no one is showing as online, Shift pages the on-call clinician on your behalf and lets you know when someone responds. There's no charge for the page itself.

What if nobody is available right now?

Shift can page the on-call clinician for you. You can also schedule the next open time with the provider you want, or start a digital visit instead. You're never charged for looking.
